Description: This is a c.1893 dres in brown silk taffeta and paisley brocade. Brocade chest yoke and collar edged in black jet on gold trimming. Ruffled front, also trimmed on the seam edge in jet. Small puffed sleeves with slender under sleeves. Gored skirt. Label: None Condition: Shattering under both arms and on the bodice sides. Two fade spots, probabaly from buttons on the back left side bodice. Two piece of boning have come off lining. Shattering on waistband of skirt and one quarter size hole on the front skirt, just below the waistband.
