Description: This item is part of a deaccession I'm doing with a local museum.

This is a c.1918 dress in velvet, navy silk chiffon and fur. It is completely a Frankenstein dress if I've ever seen one. The bodice and skirt panels are a dark fuschia and blue stripe velvet with a swriling navy over pattern. The bodice laces up the front and has a beaded net modesty piece at the base of the neckline. Navy chiffon sleeves have fur trimming at the wrists. Black ribbon bow at the base of the bodice with gold beaded tassels at the ends. Chiffon skirt with two wide panels of the velvet.

Label: None

Condition: The chiffon sleeves are completely torn up. The chiffon skirt has scattered holes. The lace-up bodice is an awesome piece on its own.
