Description:
This is a c.1898 waist in a dark rusty red silk
brocade. The waist has a stand collar with ivory
lace appliqué decoration. Center front box
pleats falls from the neckline to the waist. Box
pleats also fall from the shoulders to gathers at
the center front waist. Hook and eye closures down
the front under the box pleat. Attached sash belt
hooks in front. Long, set in sleeves are gathered
from the armcyes and taper to the
wrists.
