Description:
This is a fabulous wrapper from c.1875 in a brown
and white print cotton. The wrapper has a self
piped neckline with button closures down the front.
Basque style waist is set into the gown with a
ruffle edge. Long, set in, 2pc sleeves have
decorative ruffled cuffs. Inset pocket on the left
front side, just above the ruffle. The ruffles end
at either side of the center back and flow to
sashes that tie over the back of the bustle.
Gathered flounce along the bottom of the skirt. The
wrapper is lined in two different and wonderful
print cottons.

Condition:
Great condition. Scattered light staining. I've
soaked it several times and with a little more
work, it should come out clean. You wouldn't
believe the color when I originally purchased it.
There is one large patch on the skirt flounce and
some bad tears along the hemline of the skirt that
are hidden under the flounce
