Description:
This is a ladies wrapper from the 1870's in a
ribbed white cotton windowpane. The wrapper has a
rounded, piped neckline. Hand made eyelet and
embroidery lace cuts across the top of the bust.
Button fasteners down the center front and turning
into decoration on the skirt. Long, set in sleeves
have a hand made lace ruffle over the wrists. The
bottom of the skirt has a wide tuck and then a row
of pleating along the hemline. The back of the
wrapper is princess seamed with fullness directed
at the top of the skirt. The center back of the
skirt is cut short with a row of the same lace
bordering the edge. This little panel rests atop
the bustle pad. The under panel is gathered along
the top for added fullness down the center
back.

Condition:
There is one small hole on the left front next to
the armcye. One quarter size tear on the lower
front left skirt, just above the pleating. There
was once another tuck here and was let out,
