Description:
This was a great find! This is a silver shopping
package from Bergdorf Goodman on Fifth Avenue in
New York. Inside the bag are two deadstock packages
of "Helen Davis Caps". There are two striped ivory
cellophane packages with gold seals featuring a
fabulous deco lady. One package has blue netting,
the other yellow. Each has its own instruction
booklet. The Helen Davis Caps were for "Training
and protecting the hair". The book shows when you
should use the caps and the many ways they could be
worn. Dates to the late 1920's....The cap is
actually a large hair net with long sashes that can
be wrapped, tied, etc.

Fabulous! A couple of tears in the cellophane, but
that's it.
