Description:
This is a wonderful spoon bonnet from c.1860. The
bonnet has a wired frame structure, covered in
pleated taupe silk. Braided horsehair ribbon runs
along the outside edge. Three rows of ivory ribbon,
covered in black lace run from the brim to the
center back. The center stripe also has the
horsehair ribbon down the center. A small flat bow
decorates the top and across the back. The front
has an inner lip, wired, and covered in lavender
silk and the middle section is filled in with ivory
silk tulle, ivory lace and small ivory flowers and
greenery.

Condition:
It's in really nice condition. There is no lining
and a couple places could use to be tacked. The tie
ribbons are not as long as they once were. There
was probably more frou-frou at the front between
the brim and the lip.
