Description:
This is an incredible hat in a shiny black chip
straw dating to c.1908. The hat has a wide brim
that extends longer on the left side and is worn
titled at an angle to counter balance the weight of
the decoration. Yellow silk gauze ribbon circles
the base of the large crown and ties into a large
bow on the left side. Two black waterfall ostrich
plumes, one pointing up and the other down over the
bow, adorn the hat. Fully lined in black silk. The
brim measures 17" at its widest and the crown is 7"
tall with a circumference of 30".
