Description:
This is a gorgeous blouse in a beautiful shade of
pink that I just couldn't match in the photos. The
blouse is a silk georgette and dates to c.1919. The
georgette is heavily decorate in a pink silk ribbon
that is coiled and stitched down the center
somehow. So, this means it isn't flat. I have no
idea how this was done unless it was stitched every
time the ribbon was turned. The blouse has a square
cut neckline, self piped. Short sleeves are cut in
one with the bodice and have a lower sleeve,
attached with a row of faggoting and slit up the
inner arm. Silk covered balls dangle from the inner
arm points. The blouse has an elastic cased
waistband with pleats pointing up to the bust for
fullness. Snap closures down the center
back.
