Description:
This is a hard to find work dress in black muslin.
I'm sure this dress saw the inside of a sweat shop
at one time and it's hard to believe it still
exists. Most were cut up and used for other things.
The dress, dating to c.1910 has a midi style bodice
with a collar that extends into a type of lapel to
the waistband yoke. Inset front with gathers
pointing upward from the waist. Hidden buttons
fasten down the left side under the lapel. Black
lace trims the top of the bodice inset. Pleated
belt wraps around the waistband yoke and hook in
front. Full skirt falls in gathers from the waist
yoke and ends in a deep hem. Long, set in
sleeves.

Some small pin holes on the bodice front. Remnants
of the same lace on the cuffs and
lapels.
