Description:
This is a c.1910 dress in white batiste. The dress
has a wrap front bodice with a v-neckline and small
collar, edged in ruffled white lace. Beautiful hand
embroidered and cutwork leaves edge the front,
waist yoke and cuffs. Released pin tucks from the
shoulder seams open to fullness at the bust and
then fall to pleats at the waist yoke. Long, set in
sleeves fall to wide cuffs with a narrow tuck along
the top edge of the cuff. Ruffled lace edges the
bottom of the scalloped cuff. Gored skirt with a
row of the embroidered batiste connected to the
dress with rows of faggoting. Gathered flounce
along the bottom of the skirt edged in embroidery.
Center front closures.
Condition:
Great condition. Several tiny pin
holes.
