Description:
This is a 2pc dress from c.1918 in a white batiste
stripe. The blouse has a scoop neckline, edged in
white cotton. Gathers fall from the front neckline
over the chest for fullness and end in gathers at
the narrow waistband. Tucks circle the blouse and
buttons closures down the back. Elbow length, set
in sleeves have a turned under finish. The skirt
falls in gathers from a narrow waistband and has
three wide tucks on the lower skirt.
