Description:
This is a white and black print batiste, 2pc dress
from c.1904. The blouse has a wide, scoop neckline
with a chest inset in black lace. A self ruffle in
the batiste appears from a top the black silk
ribbon that circles the neckline across the chest.
Small flat bows adorn the center front ribbons.
Gathers fall from the center front neckline to the
waistline seam. Long, pouf sleeves are set in and
have gathers falling to a ribbon arm band, then a
second pouf to below the elbow. A lace, lower
sleeves falls to the wrists with a black lace
flounce over the hands. The gored skirt falls from
a narrow waistband and has decorative ribbon work
along the bottom. The skirt falls flat with all
fullness directed to the gathers at the center
back.

Great condition. Some light soiling. The black lace
ruffles on the hands have some
breaks.
