Description: This is a gorgeous gown from c.1900 in black lace. The gown has an ivory tape lace collar and yoke, trimmed along the top neckline in ivory silk chiffon ruffles. The bodice has a v-neckline with rows of self piping. Coiled appliqué panels adorn the front, self piped along the edge. Gathers fall from the neckline to pleats at the center front waistline. Embroidered trim edges the bottom. Long, set in sleeves in three sections with the embroidered ribbon between each section. The waist is fully lined in black silk taffeta. The full skirt falls from a narrow waistband with pleats down the center front. Bands of embroidered trim section the side front and side skirt into three parts with gathers falling below each layer. Gathers also fall from the center back waistline down into the flowing train. The skirt has an attached silk underskirt.

Condition: Great condition. Some pin holes in the taffeta. A couple small breaks in the ivory lace.
