Description:
This is a late 40's evening gown in black cotton
lace. The gown has a plunging, scooped neckline
with pleats at the base of the neckline and a
decorative tab. The tab was probably placed there
to hold the weight of a brooch. The dress has
short, cap style sleeves cut in one with the gown.
Full length gored skirt falls from the natural
waistline seam with pleats on either side of the
center front. Matching lace covered belt and
buckle. Side zipper closure.
