Description:
This is a lovely dinner dress in a brown silk satin
brocade. The late 40's dress has a coat style with
a small, rounded collar and notched lapels.
Interesting gold buttons have a rhinestone edge and
a cluster of brown beads in the center. The buttons
closures fasten down the front of the dress.
Diagonal bust darts from the side seams. 3/4,
Sleeves are cut in one with the bodice and have
turned back, wing cuffs. The gored skirt falls from
the natural waistline seam with darts across the
front giving the slight lift the attached panniers
give. The panniers are made of stiff buckram and
stitched to the inside waistline seam. Matching
fabric covered belt.
