Description:
This is a lovely late 30's evening gown and jacket
in a tone on tone white floral jacquard taffeta. A
watered pink, green and purple floral pattern also
dots the fabric. The gown has a sweetheart neckline
with wide shoulder straps. Shirring runs down the
center front opening fullness to the bust. Gored
skirt falls from the raised, pointed waistline to
the ankles and dart fitted through the mid section.
Button and loop closures down the back. The
matching jacket has a spread collar and hook and
eye closures at the base of the neck and at the
waist. Large royal blue velvet ribbon bows adorn
the base of the neck and also at the waist. The
jacket is dart fitted under the bust and opens to
pleats at the waist opening to a rippled peplum.
Short, pouf sleeves are set in to the armcyes with
pleats along the top and tapering to a narrow
finish.

Condition:
Great condition. There is slight color fade under
the arms of the jacket and an old stitch line on
the front of the skirt where a dart must have gone
awry.
